Michael Swamy is a food stylist and writer based in Mumbai, India. Having graduated from the Sophia Polytechnic Bombay in Bombay he went on the complete his Chef Studies from the Cordon Bleu Culinary School London. In London he has assisted several chefs who have Michelin Stars and have worked with Michelin chefs. Claire Clare Mathew Hardy have been his inspiration to enter the world of food media.

As Chef Michael has worked with several large brands like The Taj Group of Hotels (Mumbai), Bombay Brasserie (London), Kuwait Airways (Kuwait) as Menu Planner, Set up The Bowl House Brand which is a chain of restaurants serving South East Asian cuisines amongst a few other brands. It is his belief based on the fact that it is rarely that a chef is noticed while working with a large brand. It’s the chefs that step out and be different that make names for themselves.

After having done several cookbooks for clients, he wrote his first cookbook, entitled "The East Indian Kitchen" which won the International Gourmand Award for Best cookbook from India and is now in the running for Best Cookbook in the world 2011.
In the world of Food Media Chef Michael has done photo shoots for packaging, print advertisements, editorials, recipe development, recipe editing and cookery books. While being multi faceted from handling aspects of Art Directing and propping for various visual media his interest in Food Photography has changed the way Indians look at food.
Michael believes in having a strong team behind him. For without a team one is nowhere. He and his team have handled both Master-chef Season I & II.

 

A Graduate of Hotel Management from the Naval Institute of Technology. Has trained at the Oberoi Hotel Mumbai and at the Orchid Hotel. She is well versed in Indian Cuisine.

As a Food Stylist, she has styled photo shoots for packaging, print advertisements, editorials, recipe development, recipe editing and cookery books for major clients both National and International. Worked on the team for Masterchef India Season I and II

Being a culinary professional, she has worked in the areas of training Food Professionals, involved in setting up quality restaurants as well as the training of staff. With clients like Food Arena Pune. Mapros in Panchgani, Bharat Petroleum to name a few.

Her forte is garnishing and setting up food shoots. She has also assisted in the writing of three cookbooks for Corporate Clients like Daewoo electronics, Bajaj & Morphy Richards.

She used to write a regular column in Sakaal, a Marathi newspaper, and used to write for The Gourmet Food & Wine Magazine. Current working on three cookbook projects for Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna..

 

A resident of Mumbai. Growing up had always had a fascination for fine art. After graduating at the Sir JJ School of Arts in Mumbai , he worked for a few years in the field of advertising, with a few agencies as a creative in Mumbai, Pravin moved to Dubai then returned to Mumbai.

Taking a step into the field of photography he mastered, the art of table top photography. Specializing in food, he says great pictures are not only beautiful but also sell products. Imbibing all these traits he has taken his art to a finer level and majoring in Advertising and Conceptual photography.

He has been featured by Asian Photography Magazine and his work featured in several cookbooks by leading chefs.

Working in Mumbai he has a studio situated at Santacruz which is a fully equipped bungalow with all the facilities and amenities one would require for a shoot. It also has a full kitchen setup for food photography. There is also ample parking space.

With a range of cameras at our disposal we are able to cover a whole range of clients requirements be if for editorial work to advertising.

 

Having completed her studies in Archaeology she assists the team on most of its research projects. Her adeptness at concentration is something. Handling the research aspect on history and food is her forte.

 

 

 

 

Dynamic and constant is the best way to describe Ganesh. He handles the production and the trials and testing of recipes for all projects. Having been groomed by us on Masterchef for both seasons his grasp of food and understanding the art of it has come a long way.
The entire kitchen is usually left in his capable hands for all the work done.

 

 

 


A creative producer and research head at work , and foodie by nature. Cinema had always been a fascination while growing up in a small town called Amritsar. After graduating from delhi university, delved into the reality TV space of India, doing shows with UTV. Groomed extensively for extreme reality TV, came as an associate producer to Masterchef India season 2. Handling research and production for 4 upcoming books.
